The Associate position is with US Banks 1st Line Business Risk. The team has responsibility for the implementation of the Bank’s Regulatory and Compliance programs in the Business Unit as The first Line of Defense. The Associate will sit full-time in Mumbai, India, and will be assisting various Regulatory Risk and Compliance programs for US Bank products and services.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop understanding Of regulation to assess and enhance internal controls
- Assist in the daily monitoring Of regulation W limits and ensure bank stays in compliance with regulation
- Analyze transactions between bank and affiliates, identify and analyze issues and ensure timely resolution
- Retain documentation of the discussions/Investigations
- Assisting in the periodic Internal audit and Compliance Test
- working on new business initiatives and responding to the information requests From business Units, Financial Advisorsand Private BankersReview the current processes,identify areas of improvement,assist in designing andimplementing new processesCompile data and preparepresentations for seniormanagement reviewDrafting, updating, andmaintaining Reg Wbusiness/support area procedures
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in finance,Accounting, Business, or a related field is required
- Strong analytical skills and innate ability to connect the dots
- 1-2 years of experience in the financial services industry.Experience in regulatory compliance activities or internal audit is a plus
- Excellent Oral and Written communication Skills working knowledge of SQL Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
